What you gain

What changes from the very first term.

A head of school does not buy software. They buy fees that come in, parents who are informed and an end of term without panic.

School fees

Your fees come in, and you can see it.

Every payment at the desk produces a numbered receipt and an SMS to the parent with the balance left. Today's cash book and the arrears are on your phone. Late families are reminded: three times per instalment, never more.

Absences

You know who is missing, the same day.

Roll call is taken on a phone and late arrivals are recorded at the gate. For every unexcused absence the parent receives an SMS, instead of discovering it at the class council.

Marks and report cards

Your report cards come out on time.

Averages, weightings, ranks and grades are computed as marks are entered. A whole class's report cards come out in one operation, with a QR code that lets anyone verify they are genuine.

Parents

Parents trust your school.

Report card published, absence, payment, announcement: the parent is informed in the app, or by SMS without a smartphone. No more parents saying nobody told them.

Teachers

Your teachers get their evenings back.

No more averages on a calculator or mark books to copy out. The teacher enters marks in class, even offline, and the sums are done.

Records

Nothing leaves with a teacher.

Marks, report cards, absences and payments stay with the school, filed by student and by school year. The data belongs to you.

Origin

Software written from the classroom.

SkoolMob was born in a Cameroonian secondary school, out of the real constraints of the job: sequences, coefficients, the class council and the end-of-term production of report cards. Those rules have been at the core of the model since the first line of code.

Frequently asked questions

The questions we are asked most often.

Does SkoolMob handle school fees and absences?

Yes. The cash desk records every payment with a numbered receipt and an SMS to the parent showing the balance left; late families are reminded at most three times per instalment. Roll call is taken on a phone, and every unexcused absence is flagged to the parent by SMS.

Do the report cards follow the official format?

Yes. Grades out of 20, COTE, averages weighted by coefficient, rank, remarks and class council signatures. The reference report card is termly: 3 terms and 6 sequences per school year.

How much does SkoolMob cost?

Pricing is quoted after a demonstration. It depends on the number of enrolled students and the scope agreed. Schools joining the pilot programme keep their entry price at subsequent renewals.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. Grade entry works offline: each grade is stored on the device, flagged as pending, then synchronised automatically when the network returns. Already-downloaded report cards, received announcements and grade sheets remain available offline.
